Understanding Your Futures Trading Fees
Engaging in futures trading might appear complex due to the multiple components involved. This guide aims to simplify and explain these components.
What is Futures Trading?
Futures trading enables investors to buy or sell an asset at a predetermined price in the future. On ZMO, these trades come with specific fees, which are shown in the below chart.
Basics of Futures Trading Fees
These are fees charged when you both open and close futures contract positions. These are separate from funding rate fees and incurred at different times.
These fees are subtracted from your margin balance in the futures wallet.
How Futures Trading Fees Are Calculated
Notional Value = Mark Price [USDT] × Position Size [Crypto Units]
Example: 2 BTC position, Mark Price $120,000:
Notional Value = $120,000 × 2 = $240,000
• General User Maker Fee: 0.02% × $240,000 = $48 USDT
• General User Taker Fee: 0.055% × $240,000 = $132 USDT
Can I get a discount on futures trading fees?
Yes! If you're an active trader, you can enjoy discounted fees depending on your VIP level.
