In the event of a ZMO account holder’s passing, we will need to take the following steps to ensure that control over the deceased’s assets is properly transferred to the rightful next-of-kin, inheritor, or trustee.
To carry out this process, the following supporting documents are required:
Notarized Death Certificate of the deceased account holder
Details of the account maintained with ZMO (e.g., registered email address, account number)
Notarized Will or Letter of Administration specifying the inheritor or trustee and their authority over the asset(s) in question
Valid identification document (identity card or passport) of the inheritor or trustee
External wallet address or bank account details under the inheritor or trustee, if the deceased’s assets are to be transferred out of ZMO, or details of the ZMO account maintained by the inheritor or trustee
If you would like to assert authority over assets belonging to a deceased ZMO user, please contact us at support@zmo.com. with scanned copies of the above documents and other required details. Our support team will assist you with the next steps.
